Though other more Earth friendly options are in the works, when it comes to business operation today the three main types of forklifts for sale include propane forklifts, diesel forklifts, and electric forklifts.  Between these three models, the electric forklifts are the ones that offer the biggest alternative to the other two.  

Electric forklifts are more expensive than their fuel ran competitors but they are far cheaper to maintain throughout the year.  They cannot be used in stormy weather, but the other options cannot be used indoors.  They have the lowest towing capacity of all models, but many models still two twice the industry standard.  They are Earth friendly but they do require about 16 hours of charging and cooling before their batteries can maintain their four to eight hour charge.
Diesel forklifts and propane forklifts are cheap to buy but the fuel costs throughout the year can often negate these savings.  They have the highest load capacity; they can often carry up to 20 times the standard required max.  Neither of these models of lift trucks for sale can be used indoors.
